But fun with friends and food?
I took my own advice Friday and headed to Central Park with some friends, Lauren, Meg, and my beautiful cousin Lexi, for a picnic and live music.
Despite feeling profoundly creative about our plans… we clearly weren’t the only ones to come up with it.
There were people dancing, laughing, playing and drinking in just about every direction.
After a few befuddling moments we plunked down on a grassy knoll and unleashed our spread.
Everything was delicious (and quickly consumed!), but the real star of the show was this little lady.
Crusty, fresh olive bread dipped in hummus or loaded down with goat cheese. The speed at which it was devoured is slightly alarming so I won’t go into detail, but do procure one next time you’re looking for a fun snack.
It was all rather romantic; a night enjoyed between friends, food and hidden solo cups of sangria. Certainly one that must be immediately replicated.
I spent Saturday and this morning working…but I managed to squeeze in this sprint workout and bumped all my sprints up to 9.5-10.0. My legs were feeling it, but I wanted to really feel it, you know?
So I headed over to the free weight area and completed this Nike Training Club inspired circuit.
Don’t underestimate the “15 minutes”, you’ll only curse yourself (and probably me…).
It hits you in all those hard-to-find places in all-the-right-ways. I’m having my own bit of trouble on the stairs as we speak and am dying for someone to join!

I’ve always been more of a long-run and yoga type of gal, loving the meditative aspect, but during the workweek I’m finding more and more that I love quick bursts of intensity. Thanks for all your quick circuit workouts – I’m planning on doing this 15 minute one tonight after work! Keep ‘em coming!
Oh gosh good luck! The sprint + circuit combination has me feeling 10 kinds of sore today, let me know how it goes!
